Integration design
A written specification: which fields map to which, which system wins a conflict, what happens to records that already exist, and how deletions are handled. Agreed before any code is written.
Two-way or one-way sync
Whichever the process needs, with loop prevention on bidirectional syncs so an update in system A does not bounce back and trigger itself forever.
Field mapping and transformation
Including the awkward parts: date formats, currency, phone normalisation, picklist values that do not match, and required fields one system has and the other does not.
Rate limiting and queueing
Requests queued and throttled to stay inside each platform's limits, with backoff on 429s. Integrations that ignore rate limits work in testing and fail on your busiest day.
Error handling and recovery
Retries on transient failures, a dead-letter queue for records that cannot sync, and alerting with enough context to fix the cause rather than guess at it.
Monitoring dashboard
A view of sync status, throughput, recent failures, and last successful run, plus manual replay for anything that needs re-pushing.

How is this different from a Zapier connection?
Zapier fires per event with limited logic and no real recovery. A purpose-built integration handles bidirectional sync, conflict resolution, bulk operations, rate limits, and replay of failed records. If your case is simple and low volume, Zapier is cheaper and we will tell you so.
What if one platform's API is badly documented?
Common. We investigate both APIs during scoping, before you commit, and if one is genuinely unworkable we say so rather than discovering it in week two. Where documentation is poor but the API works, that is factored into the quote.
Can you migrate our existing data too?
Yes, as a separate scope. Backfill is quoted by record volume and data quality. It is usually the deduplication and cleanup rather than the transfer that takes the time.
Where does the integration run?
On your infrastructure: your Vercel project and your database, using your API credentials. Nothing routes through a service of ours, so there is no dependency on us continuing to exist.
What happens when a platform changes its API?
Within the thirty-day window we fix it. After that, breaking changes are rare and usually announced months ahead. The monitoring dashboard means you find out immediately rather than at quarter end, and the documentation is written so another developer can make the change.
